A.L.L. Capuccino Espresso bar Comfortable location, light jazz/funk background music,
relaxing atmosphere, well-thought-out interior, delicious
deserts, attractive, polite and fast staff, and of course,
because of the wide range of good coffee. The cafe on
Barona has a smoking fl oor for those who can’t imagine
coffee without cigarettes. Don’t forget to read the personal
wish on the corner of your coffee cup.
Amelie Cute little coffee and tea
shop/cafe. Offer home-made cookies and cakes and an
assortment of teas and coffees, as well as cups and
other accessories.
Apsara (Tea house) This is it folks, the teetotaller's paradise! The only cafe in Riga where you can choose among 70 different kinds of tea. Once you walk into this cute little wooden tea hut, you are in for the whole caboodle, from Japanese and Chinese teas to the magnificent produce spawned of the high-plateau plantations of Darjeeling! Take a load off and sprawl amongst the pillows tossed on the floor. You will enjoy meditating upon the view of the Vermanes Park whilst sipping aromatic teas served in special cups in strict accordance with the rituals of the old.
Apsara Tea Rooms The first floor is designed in European style with antique furniture, glamorous crystal lamp and an original fire place, but the basement is a mix of Arabian and Indian soft cushion lounge style, where you can enjoy a tea ceremony (Chinese or Japanese) and Turkish delights. Be sure to have enough time, as you really forget about it while you’re there! Don’t forget to check out the bathroom with its “wisdom grafitti”.

Coffee inn This spacious, ‘hearty’ cafeteria offers very decent yet fast coffee drinks, tasty sandwiches and wraps, superior
cheesecakes and cookies. Cultural announcements, easygoing
young staff, old, scratched, but comfy sofas and
selfservice makes Coffee Inn different from other charming/
romantic/snobbish Riga cafeterias. Gathers younger
and louder clientele, but serious looking businessmen
with laptops and tempting rich blondes aren’t a rare site.

Emihla Gustava Shokoladhe
A charming cafe in Vienna style that manufactures delicious hand-made chocolates, 30 different styles from truffles to pralines. It all happens behind the glass wall, so you can actually watch the process. Some are made following ancient recipes of the famous historical confectioner Emil Gustav, and only with high quality Belgian ingredients!

Index Cafe The Latvian version of a typical American cafeteria. Carefully and properly packed salads, creative sandwiches, light soups and appetizing afters such as the US favourite muffins and cookies, jazz whispering in the background, all are great add-ons to proper coffee of any kind. Everything is freshly made on the spot.
Innocent Cafe Coffee makers here are actually not so innocent at all.
Cafeteria/Italian coffee brand Illy showroom, where you
can also buy Illy products, run by 1000% coffee obsessed
professionals. Enjoy being served by hearty, tattooed
barista-star Ingemars Dzenis, the inspirer of the
place. Also Italian wines, clean geometric design, freshly
squeezed juices, cookies and pies, lunches and Sundaymorning
brunches. Ah yes, prices are embarrassingly low.
Junge This German-style cafeteria has nothing but cheap and
yummy pastries and cakes, constantly prepared fresh
whenever more are needed. Fresh tomato-mozarello
toast and meatball toasts, salads. The latte-croissant set
costs just over one Ls.
Laima Sweets Cafe The most famous Latvian sweets brand offers Laima
sweets and Staburadze cakes in this cafeteria, as well
as salads, sandwiches and pastries made on the spot.
Monte Kristo This charming cafe lies on a quiet street in the centre of the Old Town strategically located opposite one of Riga's loveliest hotels. Have a break from the norm; enjoy different flavours of coffee from Brazilian and Arabic to chocolate, vanilla and Grand-Marnier. Espressos, lattes, moccachinos and fresh pastries.
