ASMIK GRIGORIAN was born in Vilnius, Lithuania. The soprano graduated from the M.K.Čiurlionis National School of Arts and commenced her voice studies in Nice, France, with distinguished tenor Gegham Grigorian. She also studied with Professor Irena Milkevichiute at the Lithuania Academy of Music.

At the Marinsky Theatre in St.Petersburg, Asmik Grigorian performed the roles of Desdemona in Verdi's Otello and Prilepa in Tchaikovsky's The Queen of Spades and repeated both parts with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra under Gianandrea Noseda in England. Her roles also include Violetta in Verdi's La Traviata, Michaëla in Carmen, Cio-Cio-San in Puccini's Madama Butterfly, Liù in Turandot, Mimi and Musetta in La Bohème, and Donna Anna and Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni.

Aside from her operatic repertoire, Asmik Grigorian has appeared in concerts in Lithuania and abroad with the Vilnius String Quartet, the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra and the Cremlin Chamber Orchestra. She is a frequent guest at festivals in Lithuania and Russia. In 2006, Asmik Grigorian gave her debut in London′s legendary Wigmore Hall.
