Latvian audiences adore LNSO’s first violin Georg Sarkisjan and Japanese pianist Keigo Mukawa in duet – they are professionally compatible, excited, unpredictable. The duo have performed seven out of Beethoven’s ten violin sonatas in Cēsis and Riga, and there are three more left: the vernal, elated First, the youthful, dramatic Seventh, and the Tenth, written by a dreamy, mature man, enveloped by the light of love. What the two musicians originally intended was to bring back pure chamber music – without videos or words.
