"La Fille mal gardée", the first performance of the Latvian National Ballet took place on December 1, 1922. In the fall of 2022, our ballet will celebrate its centenary with an extensive program, culminating with the Gala concert "Latvian National Ballet 100".
The concert in two parts will reveal the diverse repertoire of the Latvian National Ballet, from classical and neoclassical to modern and contemporary ballet, from the works of world-famous choreographers to contemporary Latvian choreography.
The best dancers of the Latvian National Ballet will be joined on the stage by guest artists: Latvian ballet dancers Evelīna Godunova, soloist of the Berlin State Ballet, and Timofejs Andrijashenko, principal dancer of the Milan La Scala Ballet, as well as their stage partners - Nicoletta Manni, the principal dancer of the Milan La Scala Ballet and Young Gyu Choi, the principal dancer of the Dutch National Ballet.
