On Christmas Eve, Maria receives a beautiful Nutcracker as a gift by the mysterious Drosselmeyer. Things take an unexpected turn when the toys under the Christmas tree come to life and the room is invaded by an army of uniformed mice. The Nutcracker transforms into a Prince and leads Maria to an enchanted fairytale land.
