Libretto by Luigi Illica and Giuseppe Giacosa, based on a short story by John Luther Long During the following 80 years the production of Madama Butterfly has been repeatedly revived on the stage of our Opera Theatre by various conductors and stage directors, not to mention the ever-changing cast.
